Final expense leads are sold as exclusive packages to licensed agents, with the return rules spelled out line by line.

The 55 final expense companies in our directory sell mostly exclusive real-time leads by state and age band, many through self-serve checkout, and many publish exactly which bad leads they will replace.

Reviewed October 2026 Based on 55 final expense lead companies
In short

Final expense is an agent-direct market. 46 of the 55 final expense companies in our directory offer exclusive leads and 43 real-time leads, 31 offer live transfers and 18 sell aged leads. 20 let an agent sign up or check out online, while 23 start with a call, and nine sell subscriptions or weekly plans.

The fine print is unusually detailed. Many companies say purchases are final or not refundable, yet most of those still replace named defects: disconnected numbers, out-of-state leads, an age outside the ordered band, a consumer who does not speak English or says they never filled out the form. Several keep a lead exclusive only for a set period before it becomes aged inventory.

Juiced lets each agent fund a wallet, set filters and caps by state, county and age, and bid above your minimum so the highest bid wins the lead in seconds. Approved returns are credited back to the wallet, and leads no agent takes go to your own marketplace, where the price falls until someone buys. Juiced distributes web leads, so live transfers and calls need separate call tracking.

Exclusive leads lead the table, offered by 46 of 55 companies, so a shared final expense lead is a hard sell to a new agent. Aged leads (18 companies) and appointments (15) are bigger here than shared leads (14), which tells you where unsold exclusives end up: in an aged tier after their exclusive period. Transfers and inbound calls are a real second product line, but they need call tracking outside Juiced.

What final expense leads are screened for

Final expense companies screen on age band, coverage wanted, health and tobacco, beneficiary and whether the person asked to hear from an agent.

  • Age band. 12 companies name an age range as a qualifier, usually a band of older adults, and several replace leads that fall outside the band the agent ordered. Make date of birth required so the age filter and the return rule use the same data.
  • Coverage and budget. Four companies capture the coverage amount wanted, one asks about budget, and one asks whether the policy is for the consumer or someone else. Agents use these to tell a burial policy shopper from a larger life insurance prospect.
  • Health and tobacco. Four companies ask health questions and three ask about tobacco. One screens transfers for serious conditions, and one asks whether the consumer has a bank account where the campaign needs it.
  • Beneficiary. Six companies capture a beneficiary, sometimes only on a premium tier. It signals that the consumer has thought about who the policy protects.
  • Asked to talk. Eight companies verify the phone with a text code, and a few telemarketing sellers review call recordings to confirm the person asked for more information. A few accept a return when the consumer denies asking or the details are made up.
  • Language. Several companies sell Spanish language leads, and a few accept returns on leads that cannot communicate in English. Decide which one you are selling before the first order.

What a final expense lead has to carry

31 final expense companies let buyers target by state, 30 by age and 20 by county, ZIP or radius. Several sell only into the states an agent is licensed in, and a few require a minimum number of states or counties per order.

Every lead type in Juiced starts with ten default fields. Add your own on top, and decide for each one whether it is required and whether the buyer receives it.

What you need to decide on a lead is not what you need to sell it

Every field carries four switches rather than one required flag.

Required for postMandatory when the lead is created: the full record you are selling.
Required for pingMandatory when checking which buyers want it. Usually a much shorter list.
DeliverableWhether the field is included in the data sent on to the buyer.
Hidden from API specKept off the public specification page.

Ping with zip, state, date_of_birth, gender, coverage_amount and tobacco_use. That is what an agent needs to decide whether the consumer fits its products and territory, while name and phone wait for the post.

How final expense leads are packaged and sold

40 of the 55 final expense companies price per lead, 21 quote custom pricing, 12 price per call and nine charge a subscription or monthly fee. Bidding is rare: only four run a bid or auction. Many sellers here sell a package of a set size for chosen states, filled after the order, rather than a live stream: 14 companies describe a start time or a fulfillment period for orders.

Self-serve is common. 20 companies let an agent sign up or check out online, and three offer buy-now-pay-later financing at checkout. One puts the agent's name, photo or phone number on the consumer's form, so the lead already knows who will call.

Final expense sellers often sell neighboring products to the same agent: 12 also sell mortgage protection, indexed universal life or veteran life leads. If you sell more than one, give each its own lead type so filters and returns stay separate.

What agents are asked to commit

17 companies run prepaid or funded accounts, six keep a card on file and one invoices. 22 say there is no long-term contract and five use one. 20 set some form of minimum, such as a smallest package, a minimum order per lead type or a multi-week subscription commitment, while eleven say there is no minimum. A few require a minimum number of states or counties so they can fill the order.

Several companies confirm state licensing before selling, and several run a trial or pilot order. Five forbid agents from reselling the leads, and five treat a card chargeback as a breach or prohibit it outright, with one saying a chargeback can void exclusivity. Put the same terms in your buyer agreement before the first lead.

Returns and replacements, in detail

Final expense return policies are unusually specific. 25 companies describe replacements or credits, and most of those also say purchases are final, so the remedy is a fresh lead rather than money back. The named reasons repeat across sellers: disconnected or wrong number, duplicate, outside the ordered states, outside the age band, cannot speak English, fictitious name, or consumer denies filling out the form.

The exclusions repeat too. Several refuse credits for no answer, not interested, chose another agent or no sale, a few cap replacements at a share of each order, and one suspends replacements when an agent's return rate runs high. Several companies keep a lead exclusive for a set period and then sell it as aged, and several promise exclusivity on product pages while their terms say leads are non-exclusive unless the order says otherwise.

  • List the replacement reasons and the exclusions on the lead type before the first lead.
  • Say whether exclusive means one agent for good or one agent for a set period.
  • In Juiced, approved returns are credited back to the buyer's wallet.

16 final expense companies mention TrustedForm or Jornaya certificates, and a few log a timestamp with each consent or say the checkbox is never pre-checked. Nine say they scrub or screen numbers against do-not-call lists, and a few put do-not-call screening, consent and suppression lists on the buyer in their terms. One terms page says leads are not screened at all, which is why agents ask to see your records.

A minority buy from publishers, affiliates and call centers, and nine describe how they pay them, on cost per lead, per action, per sale or revenue share. Several bar incentivized or recycled traffic. Keep a source sub ID and the consent certificate link on every lead. The rules themselves are published by the FCC and FTC.

How Juiced runs a final expense lead business

  1. Buyers fund a wallet

Each buyer adds funds before leads arrive and is charged as each lead is delivered. Approved returns are credited back to the wallet. No invoices to send and no payments to chase.

  2. Buyers set filters and caps, then bid

Each buyer filters on your fields and caps how many leads they take. They bid above your minimum, and the highest bid wins the lead in seconds.

  3. Delivery goes where the buyer works

By webhook into the buyer’s CRM, by email or by text.

  4. Unsold leads go to your marketplace

A lead no buyer takes is not dropped. It goes to your own marketplace, where its price falls until someone buys it outright or a standing buy order picks it up.

Frequently asked

Should I sell final expense leads exclusive or shared?

Exclusive. 46 of the 55 final expense companies in our directory sell exclusive leads and only 14 sell shared. Several resell exclusives as aged after a set period, so state your rule on the lead type.

What return reasons do final expense sellers accept?

Usually disconnected numbers, duplicates, out-of-state leads and leads outside the ordered age band, and a few add language or a consumer who denies filling out the form. No answer and no sale are usually excluded. Write your list before the first lead.

Do final expense agents buy online or through a rep?

Both. 20 companies offer self-serve signup or checkout and 23 start with a call. Either way, take a funded balance before the first lead.

Should I require a minimum number of states?

A few final expense companies do, so they can fill orders. Several sell only into an agent's licensed states, so ask for the license list on the first call and set state filters from it.

What happens to final expense leads after the exclusive period?

Several companies sell them as aged leads once a set exclusive period ends, and 18 sell aged leads overall. In Juiced, leads no agent takes go to your own marketplace, where the price falls until someone buys.

Do final expense agents expect a subscription?

Some do. Nine companies charge a subscription or monthly fee and several sell weekly plans, but per lead pricing is far more common, used by 40 of 55.

What do final expense leads sell for?

No prices are published here. Sellers rarely publish them, and what a final expense lead sells for depends on whether it is exclusive or shared, a web lead or a call, the geography, how fresh it is and how many buyers want it. The pay-per-lead pricing guide shows how to work out your own floor from cost and let buyers bid above it.

Does Juiced handle final expense calls or live transfers?

No. Juiced distributes web leads and delivers them by webhook, email or text. It does not track or route phone calls, so if calls are part of your product you need call tracking software for that side.
