HVAC leads are sold as calls almost as often as forms, and the price moves with urgency.

The 45 HVAC companies in our directory sell exclusive real-time leads and inbound calls to contractors by ZIP code, split between repair and replacement. A call counts only past a set duration, several sellers let contractors bid, and one prices by season and urgency.

In short

HVAC is a call-heavy trade. Of the 45 HVAC companies in our directory, 33 sell exclusive real-time leads and 23 sell inbound calls, and several more sell live transfers or booked appointments. Homeowners with a broken system call, so contractors here buy calls the way other trades buy forms.

Pricing is more dynamic than in most home service trades. Eight companies run bidding or auction pricing, one prices by region, season and urgency, and a few let the contractor choose between an exclusive lead and one shared with a small, capped group. A call is billable only after a minimum duration at five companies.

Juiced lets each HVAC contractor fund a wallet, set filters and caps by ZIP code, service type and equipment, and bid above your minimum so the highest bid wins the lead in seconds. Leads no contractor takes go to your own marketplace, where the price falls until someone buys, and approved returns are credited back to the wallet.

What HVAC lead companies sell

Counts cover everything each company says it sells, which can include other verticals.

Exclusive leads (33 of 45) and inbound calls (23) dominate, with live transfers at 12 and appointments at 10. Shared leads appear at seven companies, usually as a capped option next to exclusive rather than an open marketplace. Juiced distributes web leads, so inbound calls and transfers need separate call tracking.

What HVAC leads are screened for

These are the screens HVAC sellers publish, from the HVAC-specific qualifiers to the checks the multi-trade sellers here run on every lead and call.

  • Repair or replacement. A few sellers separate repair requests from full system replacements, and others name AC replacement, furnace upgrades and heat pumps. One seller's questionnaire filters out small repair requests before delivery.
  • Residential or commercial. One seller serves both residential and commercial HVAC clients, and a few let contractors choose residential or commercial jobs.
  • Urgency. One seller targets homeowners and businesses that need service right now, and another prices leads by urgency and season. Capture whether the job is an emergency so contractors can bid on it differently.
  • Consumer-initiated call. Two call sellers stress that the homeowner dialed them, and three companies run callers through an IVR qualifier before connecting. One counts a call only after a set number of seconds.
  • Working phone. A few companies confirm the phone with a one-time code by text, and others validate the number automatically before delivery or call the homeowner to confirm interest.
  • Homeowner in the service area. Several return policies credit renters, tenants, out-of-area leads and wrong trades, so ownership and ZIP code are checked before a lead is sold.

What an HVAC lead has to carry

Forty-two of the 45 companies let contractors target by geography, usually ZIP codes, a radius, counties or a claimed territory. Most also target by trade, service, project or lead type, and several add budget, home value, demographics, business hours or dayparting.

Every lead type in Juiced starts with ten default fields. Add your own on top, and decide for each one whether it is required and whether the buyer receives it.

What you need to decide on a lead is not what you need to sell it

Every field carries four switches rather than one required flag.

Required for postMandatory when the lead is created: the full record you are selling.
Required for pingMandatory when checking which buyers want it. Usually a much shorter list.
DeliverableWhether the field is included in the data sent on to the buyer.
Hidden from API specKept off the public specification page.

Ping with zip, service_type, equipment_type, homeowner, system_age and timeline. That tells a contractor whether the job is in area and the kind of work they want, without exposing contact details before the bid.

How HVAC sellers price: bids, seasons and capped sharing

Thirty-six companies sell per lead, but the price is rarely fixed. Eight run bidding or auction pricing, one lets the receiving contractor set its own price per qualified call, and one says its call price is set by local competition. One seller prices by region, season and urgency, so the same request can be worth more at one time of year than another.

Sharing is offered as a choice, not hidden. One seller lets the homeowner pick how many quotes they want and tells the contractor how many others received the lead. Another lets the buyer choose exclusive or shared with a small group on each order, and one caps shared leads at a set number of businesses per area while keeping calls exclusive. If you sell shared HVAC leads, state the cap in the agreement.

  • Seven companies charge a subscription or monthly fee and four a setup fee.
  • One territory plan renews automatically each week, two weeks or month with no per-lead fee, and another subscription is due regardless of results.
  • Several sellers say leads arrive within seconds, and one buffers leads that arrive after hours.

Calls: what makes one billable

Twenty-three companies sell inbound calls and ten are call centers or transfer sellers. Five define a billable call by a minimum duration or buffer, and one reviews every call with an audit team before billing. Three run an IVR qualifier first. Disputes on calls are settled with recordings: one seller reviews recordings, transcripts and call analysis, and its non-billable list covers spam, robocalls, telemarketers, fraud, competitor research, wrong categories, callers with no intent and duplicates within a set window.

Calls and forms need different rules, so define the billable event for each before traffic starts, as one seller here does per campaign. Juiced distributes web leads, so HVAC calls need separate call tracking, and form leads go through Juiced with their own return rules.

What contractors commit to and how they start

Twenty-six companies advertise no long-term contract, and several stress no setup fee or no monthly minimum. The ones that ask for commitment do it through money: nine use a prepaid or funded account, one takes an initial deposit that sets the contractor's spending limit, one requires an upfront purchase of call credits, and two refund unused balances on request. A few others ask for a minimum term, a minimum monthly lead volume or a weekly minimum.

Territory is the other commitment. Five companies sell leads tied to a territory, such as one contractor per trade per market or a capped number of companies per area, and six check territory or availability before signup. Agencies quote days or weeks to first leads because they build campaigns first, so set the start date on the first call.

Returns, credits and what the terms really say

Published policies agree on the basics: disconnected or wrong numbers, duplicates within a set window, out of area, wrong trade, renters and requests the homeowner denies making are credited. A few exclude homeowners who cannot be reached, no-answers and jobs the contractor did not win, while one credits verifiably unreachable leads. Several give credit or replacements only, never cash.

Read the agreement, not the homepage. One company markets exclusive leads while its terms say leads are non-exclusive unless agreed in writing, and another's terms allow unconverted leads to go to other contractors after a period. One help center allows returns while its terms say there are none. If you sell HVAC leads, put exclusivity and the credit rules in the agreement, and keep the homepage consistent with it.

How Juiced runs an HVAC lead business

  1. Buyers fund a wallet

Each buyer adds funds before leads arrive and is charged as each lead is delivered. Approved returns are credited back to the wallet. No invoices to send and no payments to chase.

  2. Buyers set filters and caps, then bid

Each buyer filters on your fields and caps how many leads they take. They bid above your minimum, and the highest bid wins the lead in seconds.

  3. Delivery goes where the buyer works

By webhook into the buyer’s CRM, by email or by text.

  4. Unsold leads go to your marketplace

A lead no buyer takes is not dropped. It goes to your own marketplace, where its price falls until someone buys it outright or a standing buy order picks it up.

Frequently asked

Do HVAC contractors want leads or calls?

Both. Thirty-three of the 45 companies sell exclusive real-time leads and 23 sell inbound calls. Juiced distributes web leads, so calls need separate call tracking.

Are HVAC leads exclusive?

Mostly. Thirty-three companies offer exclusive leads, and the seven that offer shared leads usually cap how many contractors receive them. Check the terms, because a few companies' agreements are less exclusive than their marketing.

Should HVAC repair and replacement be sold separately?

Yes. A few sellers split repair from replacement, and one filters out small repair requests. A service_type field lets each contractor filter and bid on the jobs it wants.

What makes an HVAC call billable?

Usually a minimum call duration or buffer, set before traffic starts. Five companies define one, and a few review recordings when a call is disputed.

What return reasons do HVAC sellers accept?

Wrong or disconnected numbers, duplicates, out of area, wrong trade, renters and denied requests. A few exclude no-answers and jobs the contractor lost, and several give credit rather than cash.

How do HVAC contractors set their area in Juiced?

Buyers set filters and caps. A contractor can filter on ZIP code, county or state and on fields such as service_type, equipment_type and timeline, then cap how many leads it takes.

What do HVAC leads sell for?

No prices are published here. Sellers rarely publish them, and what an HVAC lead sells for depends on whether it is exclusive or shared, a web lead or a call, the geography, how fresh it is and how many buyers want it. The pay-per-lead pricing guide shows how to work out your own floor from cost and let buyers bid above it.

Does Juiced handle HVAC calls or live transfers?

No. Juiced distributes web leads and delivers them by webhook, email or text. It does not track or route phone calls, so if calls are part of your product you need call tracking software for that side.
